Lives and Times of Morongla

Morongla is a small village approximately 15 kms south-east of Cowra.

Dating back to the earliest European settlers, this book transforms us to another time when life was much simpler and survival was the only challenge.

For the strong and steadfast best able to meet the challenges of ignorance of a new and foreign land, the pestilence of flood and drought, the isolation and hardship, the opportunities for wealth and prosperity were endless.

The courage, perseverance and initiative demonstrated by these early pioneers has been passed on to their descendants, many of whom still reside in the area and are making a valuable contribution to our town and district.

This book includes a history of the village, as well as newspaper clippings, personal papers, stories of many old Morongla families plus numerous images.
