This is an inspirational story, historically accurate, about the author’s in-laws (Ben and Em) and their children’s struggle to survive in the Netherlands under Nazi occupation. It is based on stories told to the author by her mother-in-law, Em. The family emigrated to Australia in 1953.
The book includes a number of family photos – Ben (Julie’s father-in-law) had been a photographer in the Netherlands prior to the war. The author is a former member of Cowra Family History Group.
